The Test of Essential Academic Skills (TEAS) is a standardized multiple-choice test nursing students must take before applying to any nursing school. In 2021 ATI revealed that the TEAS 6 would be phased out and replaced with the ATI TEAS 7 by June 2022. ATI upgrades the TEAS test every five years to keep the content relevant to the ever-changing nursing standards.
The major difference between TEAS 6 and TEAS 7 test is the number of questions asked on the test. While the total number of questions remain the same, there are changes in the number of questions in every segment. You will also notice additional subcategories to the science and language sections and the introduction of multiple-choice questions. If you are taking TEAS 7 exam for the first time, do not fret. Teas 6 Vs. Teas 7: Question Types
TEAS version 6 comprised of single answer multiple questions while the TEAS 7 test comprises hot spot items, multiple select items, ordered response items, and supply answer items. Your answers will be marked wrong or correct with no chance of partial credit. Fortunately, with our Nuxles.com practice test, you will be adequately prepared to take and pass the new version of the ATI TEAS 7 exam. The new question types include:
Multiple-choice Questions
These questions have four answer choices with only one correct option. Besides texts, some questions might include charts, graphics, and exhibits.
Multiple Select Questions
In this case, you will have four or more answer options, and more than one option might be correct. You will receive a prompt on these questions to select all appropriate choices. Note that you must get all answers right. If you choose incorrectly or/and do not choose all the correct options, the question will be marked with no chance of partial credit.
Supply Answer Questions
No answer choices are provided for the supply answer questions. Generally, the questions will require you to fill in the blanks or give an answer to the questions. You can use words or numbers to answer your questions.
Hot Spot
Hot spot questions are similar to multiple-choice questions. You will have an image with two and five clickable sections where you must click the portion of the image that correctly answers your question.
Ordered Response
Generally, you are required to place your answers in their correct order. Each question comes with a set of four to six responses. A student must drag each response from the box on the left to the one on the right side. If any of your answers are out of order, the entire question is marked as incorrect, with zero chances of partial credit.
TEAS 6 Vs. TEAS 7 TEST -Exam Content
